Autumnal Equinox

Folklore says that on the equinox, when the day and night are equal lengths, an egg can be balanced on it's end. I think it's supposed to have something to do with harmony. Dad and I tested it:

It was pretty cool. Mom didn't believe it was really on it's end. Happy Autumnal Equinox!

Thanks for the idea for Angie's science project. She is practicing standing eggs up on different surfaces and collecting data. Do you think you could stand an egg up on the same surface and take another picture for Angie in a few days?
