Hey Family! We're finally on!

Hello everyone! I know, I know, it's about time! Well, thanks to Betsy, I'm finally able to contribute to the family blog. Thanks, Sis! We arrived safely home from Alaska and now it's canning, canning, and more canning. Dave is spending the majority of Sept. hunting and is wanting that big bull. (Another lovely trophy for our wall. HA!) Actually, I think they're kinda neat. :-) The kiddos are back in school and are enjoying soccer so far. Here's a picture of the only 2 silver salmon we were able to bring home with us from Anchorage. We had quite a difficult time with the Gilbert's boat, so unfortunately, we weren't able to fish as much as we'd hoped. Kianna caught 2 baby halibuts and had to release them. We all caught several salmon and cod, but these were the two best. Can't wait to hear from all of you. Love to all, Nath

Ashton the Cutie-pie and a Good Laugh

I thought I would post this picture on here for those of you who don't regularly check Cara's blog. If you don't, you totally should. She posts picture fairly often, and of course, Ashton is practically the cutest kid ever (her cousin Valarie is really cute too, but I think Ashton's cuter. I may be biased). I like this picture so much I've gone back to the blog like five times just to look at it again.

Say it with me: "Awwwww!"

And now for the laugh - courtesy of Steve (who should post on here, hint, hint):

We Are In Colorado!!

Spending the night in Idaho Springs, not Broomfield. We can listen to the music of Clear Creek and see a mountain from the balconey! There is a church here, so we will go at 9:00 and then be on our way home. Hallelujah!

Brown Folks Heading Home

Update: Mom & Dad are headed home. They left Indiana on Friday morning (8/24) and were through Abilene, KS around 9 a.m. (Mtn time) on Saturday. They plan to stay in Broomfield Saturday night, go to church there, then head home. (Home is where you hang your hat, right??)

We had a great visit with them. We played games, went Geocaching, and visited a lot. The kids loved having them here. Thanks for the visit!

On the Way Home

Had a great visit with Sara and Jordon. Here they are at the Jefferson Memorial.
Then we went to Palmyra. This is Dad at the baptismal site on Sesquahannah river.
Next, Dad and I by the fire place in the Joseph
Smith home.
Today we are in Kirtland. Tomorrow we will move on to the Searcy's.
Love you all.

Sadie, Franklin, and Fall Mailings

Sadie is my dog. Franklin is my car.

They have a tenuous relationship. They were rather wary of each other in the beginning. Sadie has decided that she likes Franklin, and eagerly jumps in when I open the door. Usually.

This is her preferred riding position.

As you can see from the flapping ears, she loves the feel of the wind in her fur. Not so much, however, in her nose. She snorts a lot.

Franklin is still unsure of his feelings toward Sadie, as she leaves hair on his upholstery and mud on his door panel. So far, he seems to tolerate her. Of course, as he is an inanimate object, it's hard to tell.

In other news, it's Fall Mailing time at Delta Animal Health. This means a lot of sorting, folding stapling and labeling for me.

A lot.

Notice how there's four boxes. That's right. Four. That equals 3500 mailings. So if anyone needs me for the next week, I'll be holed up in Dad's office amidst a sea of orange and yellow, probably talking to myself. Well, mumbling, acutally. If I was a guy, I'd grow a scraggly beard.

Good thing I have my dog to keep my company. Otherwise I might get a little weird.

Last evening at mission home with new mission president and wife, Lyn and Ann Summerhays.
We went to the Kennedy Space Center.
This is Dad at the church farm visitor center.
Street in Savannah. We had a great time here. Rode a trolley all around the historic district, then on a river boat. There is lots to see here, but it requires a lot of time and walking. It was very hot and humid. Steamy. Much different than Tallahassee.

Hi Everybody!
We have made some progress on our trip home. Right now we are in Wilkesboro, NC after spending a day on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Here are a few phot

New Blog

For those who are interested, I've re-vamped my personal blog and taken it in a new direction. You might enjoy it!
