Took pictures at work; thought you might like to see what I've been up to.

Do I Have Something on My Head?
I bought these super cute antlers at the dollar store.
Please ignore the slightly crazed look in my eye. We passed the antlers around.
Mom tried them. Doesn't she look cute?
Dad tried them. There are no words for this picture.
Sadie tried them. She was not happy about it. See that look she's giving me? It says, "Seriously? Are you kidding me with this? I thought we were friends."
Jack tried them. She was cool with it. Of course, she's cool with pretty much anything as long as you'll pet her.
Steve would have tried them, but he was all tuckered out and taking a little nap.

Thanksgiving Puns
Why I love hanging out with Steve:
Steve, Mom and I were discussing turducken. Turducken is sometimes served for Thanksgiving dinner, but it's a work intensive dish.
We explained to Steve that turducken is a chicken stuffed inside a duck stuffed inside a turkey. For those of you who need a visual aid:
Steve's response:
"That's just fowl!"

I work for some crazies....
This car belongs to the president of the Teachers Association I work for. I thought you all might like to see how crazy liberal he is.
It turns out someone else put the socialism sticker on there, and he took it off when he found out it was there. At least the McCain stickers on my car and Sarah's car balanced out the parking lot a little. I'm hesitant to take my sticker off just because occasionally some old board member comes in and freaks out about "those Republican bumper stickers in the parking lot! You should fire those people!" It makes work more entertaining.

I love having visitors! Here are a few pics:
Here's Betsy:
This would have been a great shot of me if some wierd tourist hadn't been in the back ground:
We can't wait until Thanksgiving when we will have Lea's family here!

Updates from the four of us
Hi Family!
Hope you are all doing well. Thanks for keeping us posted on your remodeling, Sara. I have to say, I think the changes are great! Isn't remodeling fun? HA! (Like I've ever had to do it.) Things here are going at a rapid pace as usual.
Kianna's surgery went well. Thank you Lea for the call and Cara for sending Kianna a card, and Grandma and Grandpa for your calls. She really appreciated hearing from you! She is running around as if never operated on...it's amazing! Why as we age is it so much more difficult to heal?
Tyler is playing U-12 soccer and thoroughly enjoying it. He's really quite good at sports, so he's fun to watch.
Dave is currently hunting and wishing the season would last a lot longer. If he could, he would own a ranch in Montana, away from people, and go hunting and fishing DAILY. Hmmmmmm..... Maybe when he's ready to retire?
We have tickets for the Broncos vs. Raiders game in November, courtesy of Dave's boss. Tyler is ready to shave his head like Dave, paint it half black and half silver, and be as obnoxious as possible. Let's see how that goes over in Denver. Kianna and I are playing it safe, with a little spirit (not shaving our heads!) and cheering on the Broncos. Should be interesting.
My canning season has finally come to an end with the exception of freezing hashbrowns and making raspberry jelly. I froze the berries so I could get to it when things weren't so intense. It's a great winter project.
Hope to hear from all of you soon and know we love you.

The New Life!
Just wanted to let everyone know that so far, the move to Junction has been great! The house is perfect (except for the roomates, or lack thereof). Sadie is adjusting okay, although she gets lonely during the day. I forget how expensive moving can be, though! Whew!
The job is terrific! I love working at Alphagraphics. It's busy and varied enough to keep me from getting bored, plus I get to use some problem solving skills. The print industry gets a little complicated, especially the paper (Holy crap, the paper!), but I'm having fun learning and I think I'm picking it up quickly. I did an estimate (mostly for practice) for Delta Animal Health's fliers, and we got the job. Thanks, Dad, you make me look good.
Also, I joined Weight Watchers this week. I've tried everything else, but from all accounts this is works well if you stick to it. I did okay today, hopefully I'll do better tomorrow!
XOXO

New Searcy Dialogue
Heard by Steve:
Keith (hiding and loading his homemade rubber-band gun): (in Arnold Schwarzenegger voice)
I FEEL THE DEMOCRACY OF THIS HOUSE FALLING INTO OBLIVION.

Guess who got a new job?
Starting Monday, August 4th, I'll be working at Alphagraphics!
It's a print and design center, where I'll be doing a lot of customer service, but I'll be doing a lot of printing/binding as well.
It's full time with benefits after 6 months, a guaranteed raise in 90 days, 8:00 - 5:00, no overtime or weekends. Talk about cushy.
I'm so excited!
